Pajhwok Afghan News

Pajhwok Afghan News is Afghanistan's premier independent news agency, providing comprehensive and reliable coverage across Afghanistan. With headquarters in Kabul and correspondents and contacts throughout the country, Pajhwok, which means "echo" or "reflection" in both Dari and Pashto, provides high quality news and features to local, regional and international audiences six days a week.

With advanced training to international standards and a focus on covering the issues that are most important to Afghans, Pajhwok journalists have an international reputation for their excellent coverage of political reform, economic development, human rights and other issues. Pajhwok often offers an alternative and deeper understanding of events affecting the region than foreign agency reports from the area tailored for Western audiences.

Pajhwok is a truly independent organization, staffed and managed entirely by leading Afghan media professionals.
